The TTRPG (TViews Table Role-Playing Game) project explores the creation of digital tabletop role-playing games (RPGs) on the TViews table, in order to bridge the separate worlds of traditional table-based RPGs with the growing area of massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs). The TViews table is an interactive tabletop media platform that can track the location of multiple tagged objects in real-time as they are moved around its surface, providing a simultaneous and coincident graphical display. The TViews table extends our digital world interactions into new spaces, serving as a platform for collaborative media applications such as multi-user media content browsing and game-play.
